Surprise! I’m not dead (yet)! And neither is this comic!

To reiterate the obvious point, I’m still tangled up in working on Rog & Roll, among other things. But I absolutely have not forgotten the comic, and while I’m still not going to be able to make it my first priority for a while, I do have plans for getting it up and running again! Plans that are probably going to be executed, like… really really soon! So yeah, keep an eye on your RSS feed, or The Twitter, or however the kids keep up with comics these days.

You probably noticed the surprise April Fools Day comic – a terrifying look into what the comic would be like if it had been running for way too long and became impenetrably wrapped in continuity! (Moreso than it already is, I mean.)

While I’m at it, here’s a look back at some foolish comics from Aprils past –

• Worsenix – what if Badnix was, y’know, worse?
• Worsenix 2 – what if Badnix was even worse than that?
• Old Timey Badnickes – what if Badnix was drawn during the 1920’s?

Hope to have news about less foolish comics (or at least comics that are foolish in a regular, less seasonal way) soon!

Happy St. Patrog’s day! Just wanted to fill you in on what’s going on in the world of Badnix now that the Reservoir Kongs story is finally over.

I do ultimately like how the last story came together, but it was beset by a lot of problems, which came through in all the erratic schedule hiccups. Hardware failure and family crises were one thing, but I also just went into it with a smaller buffer and a less keen idea of the script/design than normal.

Then there’s Rog & Roll! Trying to make a bi-weekly comic by yourself is already pretty draining and time-consuming – trying to balance that with also making a full game by yourself has kind of been pushing me past my limits. (To say nothing of trying to keep up with freelance work at the same time…)

So, yeah, I know long breaks between updates are frustrating. They frustrate me more than anyone! But it’s seeming like I’ll need to take another long recharge period before we’re able to finally launch into World Warriors Part 3 whatever the next story is. Please be patient!

In the meantime, hopefully I can scrape together a few fun intermediary comics to post. And you can always check out my twitter account if you want to see weekly-ish updates on the game. Keep faithin’ the faith, Badnifans! (Sorry, I have no idea how to end blog posts)

Sorry guys, some unexpected family stuff came up & has delayed the next page in the Reservoir Kongs story (which incidentally is also the last one!) – hopefully I’ll get things sorted out & will have a brand new comic ready for you to enjoy very soon. 🙇
